Cited Authorities LLC produces media and develops software for legal and tax professionals. We publish the Cited Authorities podcast. We are a technology and publishing company, not a law firm. Nothing we publish or sell is legal advice, and buying or using our products does not create an attorney-client relationship with anyone. Our founder, Alexander Powell, is a licensed attorney. Any law practice he conducts is through a separate law firm that is not part of Cited Authorities LLC.
Who we are. Cited Authorities LLC is a media and software company. We are not a law firm. We are not licensed to practice law, and we do not give legal advice, represent clients, or accept legal matters.
Our content is informational. Everything we publish, including the Cited Authorities podcast, articles, newsletters, and videos, is general information and commentary. It is not legal advice and is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney about your specific situation. Laws change, and general commentary may not reflect the current state of the law or apply to your facts. The views expressed by hosts and guests are their own and do not represent any firm, employer, client, or organization.
Our software is a product, not a legal service. Any software we offer is a tool, not a legal service, and it does not exercise legal judgment for you. Using our software does not make you a client of any attorney or law firm, and the protections of an attorney-client relationship, including confidentiality and privilege, do not apply to your use of our products. You remain responsible for your own professional judgment and for verifying any output before relying on it.
No attorney-client relationship. Nothing on this site, in our content, or in our products creates an attorney-client relationship. Contacting us, subscribing, purchasing, or using a free tool does not create one either.
A separate law firm. Our founder's law practice is conducted through a separate law firm that is not part of Cited Authorities LLC, and the two companies are separate entities. Cited Authorities LLC does not share your information with that firm without your consent, and the firm's engagement decisions, including conflict checks, are made independently.
