Alexander Powell is a tax attorney based in Washington, D.C. A former prosecutor, Alex has tried more than 75 cases to verdict and drafted over 100 appellate opinions. His speaking engagements include the American Bar Association Tax Section’s national conference, where he joined representatives from the IRS, Kirkland & Ellis, Holland & Knight, Vinson & Elkins, and Barnes & Thornburg. He co-hosts the American Bar Association Section of Taxation’s People in Tax Podcast. Alexander brings a trial lawyer’s energy and a tax lawyer’s precision to every interview.
